Army and pillage

Automatic army in oBot for Ikariam: spearmen trained with spare wood and automatic pillage of the barbarian village on your island.

Last update: November 2, 2026

What it does

oBot trains spearmen by itself up to the number you choose, with spare wood. They are needed to pillage the barbarian villages on your island (free resources and gold) and to defend the town.

Premium feature

Without premium the settings are saved anyway: the bot starts as soon as premium is active.

Each spearman costs 1 citizen, 30 wood and 1 gold per hour of upkeep.

Options

Automatic army
On: the bot trains spearmen up to the chosen number. Off: it trains nothing.
Spearmen to have
From 0 (default: no training) to 500. A level 1 barbarian village needs only a few: a single clubman defends it. It is the minimum: with pillage on, when the barbarian village levels up the bot trains as many as needed (three times the defenders, at most 150, up to 400 when the gold in the treasury pays a week of upkeep of the extra spearmen), if the loot (gold and the resources the ships carry) is worth at least twice the cost (wood plus one day of upkeep).
Wood to keep
The bot trains only with the wood above this amount (default 200), so buildings never stop.

What the bot does

  • Every 15 minutes it trains at most 5 spearmen in the barracks of the first town, until you reach the chosen number.
  • It trains only as many as the wood above the reserve and the free citizens allow; if they are missing it waits and tells you. Wood goes first to the queued building waiting for it; troops jump ahead only for a pillage that pays.
  • A barracks is needed: if there is none it tells you (you can queue it too).
  • With a negative gold income and the colony gold not yet in the treasury it trains no spearmen beyond the number you chose: each one costs 1 gold per hour and moves the colony away.
  • Citizens kept for the colony never become spearmen; when free citizens are missing, Automatic citizens take from the saw mill the ones the spearmen need. The status and the log say when citizens are missing and when the cap or the loot stops the training.

Barbarian pillage

Every island has a barbarian village with gold, wood and luxury goods to take. With Pillage the barbarians switched on, the bot pillages it by itself, at a low pace and without needless risks.

  • Every 30 minutes it checks the village: level, stock, defenders and whether it is being rebuilt.
  • It sets off only when your units are at least three times the defenders, a merchant ship is free to bring the loot back and there is something to take.
  • It sends all available units and the ships the loot needs (500 per ship); after a victory the village is rebuilt and the bot starts again by itself.
  • The What it is doing box tells you why it is waiting (troops, ships, rebuilding) and every pillage goes into the log.
